"Brooklyn-based and Ohio bred, the members of The National make a glorious noise. Sounding like a blend between Leonard Cohen and Joy Division, with a pinch of Bruce Springsteen, the band is known for both its touching lyricism and epic crescendos." - NPR, World Café
Check out the video below if you're not familiar with Owen Pallett. He's a Canadian violin virtuoso who was previously recording under the name "Final Fantasy." This year he's gaining recognition as an opener for better-known bands like Arcade Fire and The National. "Lewis Takes Off His Shirt" just happens to be the first song released of his newest recording, Heartland.
