The Kentucky Center & Live Nation Present
Brian Regan: Live Comedy Tour
Saturday, October 25, 8:00 PM
The Brown Theatre
315 W Broadway, Louisville, 40202
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Comic Brian Regan went off to college with plans to follow in his father’s footsteps and become an accountant. However, he quickly fell behind in his accounting courses and was grateful when his football coach suggested he change his major to Theatre instead. Regan honed his goofy physical style by roughhousing with seven brothers at home and dodging tackles on the football field. His brother Dennis is also a stand-up comedian.
In a recent interview with the Tampa Tribune, Regan spoke about why he chooses to keep his act “clean,” saying “I'm not going to get up on a high horse about what I do. There are comics that are dirty that I find hilarious. What I do isn't loftier than what they do. It's about getting laughs.”
He’s also not holding his breath to be offered a sit-com like Jerry Seinfeld or Ray Romano.
“Sure, it would be nice to have a sitcom,” Regan said. “But it's something that would have to be on my terms. Some comedians use stand-up as a springboard to a sitcom or a career in film. I would rather do stand-up than a show, especially if I didn't have creative control. I don't have those kind of dreams. I'm happy doing what I do. I'm content with what I've achieved.”
Regan’s upcoming performance at the historic Brown Theatre will be his third Louisville appearance in five years. Previous performances have come very close to selling-out and we recommend getting your tickets early.
