It's that time of year! The application for GSA’s 2018 summer program is now open/available to all high school sophomores/juniors in Kentucky, and GSA is offering application prep workshops (ArtShops) throughout Kentucky in November.
The application for the 2018 Governor’s School for the Arts is now open and is due by January 12th! Students who are currently sophomores or juniors in Kentucky are eligible to apply for up to two art forms, and are encouraged to start by reviewing the Applicant Guide PDF for their respective art form(s) here. All information about the application process can be found at www.kentuckycentergsa.org. As additional resources, an e-brochure about the program and application process can be found here; our promo video is here.
GSA is hosting application prep workshops (called “ArtShops”) in November in Paducah, Danville, Morehead, and Bowling Green. ArtShops are preparatory workshops available to freshman, sophomores and juniors interested in applying to GSA; the day includes in-depth activities in students’ art form of choice, information and tips on the application and audition/review processes, and an information session for parents and teachers. Students must register to attend ArtShops at www.kentuckycentergsa.org and are encouraged to register early, as there is limited capacity. EILA credit is available for teachers who attend the ArtShop’s information session (more info on our website).
All students, parents, and teachers are encouraged to contact GSA with any questions at 502.566.5192 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
