A Community Arts Celebration of Dr. King’s Vision

5 p.m. – Main Stage performances and presentation of the Mayor’s Freedom Award (Whitney Hall)
7 p.m., Post-show entertainment by River City Drum Corps (Main Lobby)

The 7th annual Keepers of the Dream celebration, hosted by poet Brandon “B Shatter” Harrison, features presentation of the Mayor’s Freedom Award, ArtsReach Living the Vision Awards, Westerfield Tolbert’s recitation of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s I Have A Dream speech, and exhilarating dance, music, and spoken word performances.
Live performances include ArtsReach Dance and Violin Studios from Chestnut Street YMCA, Shawnee Arts and Cultural Center, WESTEC and West End School. Other featured artists are Natya Kendra Dance Academy, Pennies & Roses, Made New, poet Alexis Meza, liturgical dancers Saved By Grace, and the River City Drum Corp.
In addition to the performance and awards ceremony, The Kentucky Center lobby will be bustling with activity! Enjoy pre-show entertainment by the Louisville Leopard Percussionists and peruse 13 exhibits from local organizations. Louisville’s River City Drum Corps will kick-off the post-show celebration in the lobby.
