The KentuckyCenter for the Performing Arts recently held auditions for the Arts Education Showcase program at LincolnElementary School in Louisville. Artists and arts organizations accepted into the program are included in a web-based resource for teachers to find arts education programming that is pre-screened by a panel of teachers, artists, and KentuckyCenter staff. This year, the Center piloted a new way of conducting live auditions: instead of a short audition at The Kentucky Center, a panel was sent to observe artists work with students at Lincoln Elementary. Over sixty artists and arts organizations are represented on the Showcase website, www.artsedshowcase.org.
