A couple of weeks ago, ArtsReach Kentucky presented a fabulous program called “Dance: Our Common Language.” Local dance groups and their families, fans and friends filled Bomhard Theater to celebrate how dance is used in different cultures and different nation to express the human spirit. We’ve got a slide show of the event posted here, and this is just a sampling of the responses we’ve been getting since then from participants and audience members.
“I wanted to thank you for letting me know about this program. My family took up a whole row in the theatre, and we had the best time! My mother-in-law doesn’t speak English, and it’s usually hard to convince her to come out and enjoy events with my daughters. She’s hooked on her nighttime novellas on TV, but she loves children, so I knew she would really enjoy the show. She loved it!! She had the biggest smile all night, and was still talking about the dancers this morning. Thank you so much.”
“Congratulations on the program. It was so moving and a wonderful way to bring the community together.”
“Your dance event was wonderful. You should be very proud.”
“Congratulations on the show. I enjoyed every bit of it and it was so diverse. It was a good showcase for Arcoiris Latino. Our dancers were very proud that their performances were very well received. MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!!”
“My nieces enjoyed it. Their eyes spoke volumes.”
If you want to experience ArtsReach for yourself, then come down to Bomhard Theater on Saturday, May 15, from 3 to 5, for the free ArtsReach Showcase, with talented young dancers and musicians from community centers throughout our community.
