In response to Smidgen's comment: I hear you loud and clear. Life is not fair! Many people are in the same boat with you - and are just as unhappy with how this shook out. Here's the solution - and it's not an easy fix. The only way to stop scalpers...the ONLY way...is for fans to refuse to buy scalped tickets. As long as people can make $400 on a ticket, scalpers will flourish. Honestly, the venues don't have a way to implement the level of control that you are envisioning. Peace.

Smidgen Barnes

Tickets should have been sold to Adam's LOCAL fan club members only during the time the tickets were going only to his fan club folks. It REALLY sucks that someone from thousands of miles away bought tickets to scalp but many locals were denied the chance to see him. I'm sure this is NOT what the artist's management team had in mind. Really crappy, folks...really crappy.

Ellen - You are correct. Looking at the seating diagram, I see three rows of pit seats. Row A is the first row of regular seating...the equivalent of "row 4."

Ellen

I think there is a pit section which is in front of row A so I assume row A would be the 4th row?

Holly - "orchestra seats" are the floor seats in the Brown, rows A-S, I believe.

Holly

Could someone please tell me what Orchestra seats are? I am seeing alot of these on Ebay (yes I may have to resort to this) I can't seem to find a seating chart that has orchestra. thanks

Darby

I agree with Delilaah! It has been a pleasure to speak with and deal with the good folks here. One in particular has been a true sweetheart (and you know who you are!). Many thanks!!!
Holly, I hope you got your tickets! Like you, I hope every real Adam fan will be able to procure theirs!
I got mine this morning and am so looking forward to rockin' with Adam and everyone who attends!

Holly

I know Darby! It seems like the $900.00 tickets were from someone in Alabama who probably is just out to make a buck! I didn't get the tickets either but I will try again tomorrow. Good luck to all of the REAL Adam fans.

Delilaah - Thank you for your understanding! Emotions are running high around here. It's not just the fans that get worked up when a show like this comes to town. Our box office staff really wants to take good care of the folks who come to us for tickets. This is a situation where we know we can't make everyone happy, which (believe it or not) is as hard on the staff as it is on the disappointed fans. So your kind words were very much appreciated.

LyingDelilaah

Thanks guys, I know how hard you all work. I didn't get my tickets today but I'm hopeful for tomorrow \o/. The box office representative I spoke with was very nice and helpful and I know it can be frustrating to deal with so many people at one time. Just wanted to let you all know that you are very appreciated.

I really appreciate this comment from Darby. Scalpers are scum - and we are totally defenseless against them. I also sympathize with anyone who got stuck in the phone queue. Calls were answered in the order in which they were received, but supply (available seats) was no match for consumer demand. FYI, much of the fan club traffic came from outside Louisville, and outside Kentucky. Our ticket buyer report shows purchases from these states: AL, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WI, WV. Plus Newfoundland & Alberta!

I am quite upset, to put it mildly. Events conspired this morning to keep me from getting to the phones lines at 10:00 a.m. sharp to purchase tickets for Adam's concert. I got through at 10:10 and was on hold for 25 minutes. When I was finally able to speak with a representative, I was told that the fan club members allotment of tickets was sold out. Okay, I accept that. What I can't accept is that some people who were fortunate enough to purchase tickets this morning are already selling them on e-bay. The asking prices range from $327.82 to $999.00 for two tickets. This really ticks me off.
