Admit it! It's hard not to fall for the deep voice, the mile-wide smile, dimples and "Aw, shucks" demeanor of "up and coming Country sensation" Josh Turner, who's influences include fellow baritones Randy Travis, and Johnny Cash.
He's been working hard this summer, touring fairs and doing lots of television, promoting his most recent recording Haywire, which includes hits like "Why Don't We Just Dance?" and "All Over Me."
Last week was "Country Week" on The Today Show. During his 8.27 stint as co-host, Josh compared adolescent growing pains and personal style hiccups with the host, as well as spilling the beans that he and his wife (who is also his keyboard player) are expecting their third son...which caused a ripple of ooos and ahhhs on Country websites, blogs and Twitter feeds.
Too good to be true? Not really, which is why Turner is so refreshing. He seems to be authentically happy and grateful for where he is in Life. He's performing at The Kentucky Center on October 8. Follow this link for ticketing information.
