Andy Hull, frontman for Manchester Orchestra, will open for Brandi Carlile on August 11 at Iroquois Amphitheater. The Kentucky Center is co-producer for the show. Tickets are on sale now via www.ticketfly.com.
As led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Andy Hull, the maturity of Manchester Orchestra's songwriting belied the fact that the bandmembers were barely legal when their group sprung into existence in 2005. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the indie rock outfit grew out of songs that Hull had begun writing while attending high school. Groomed by producers who also worked with The Shins and Louisville's own My Morning Jacket, the band released its third full-length studio album - Simple Math - in 2011.
