Grammy Award-winner JOHN PRINE is the ultimate songwriter for people who love good stories, bittersweet truths, and sly humor. In hits like “Dear Abby,” “Spanish Pipe Dream,” and “Sam Stone,” Prine’s casual vocal delivery draws people in, while his detailed lyrics illuminate situations that remain in memory long after the song has ended.
Prine was inducted into the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2003. During the induction ceremony, mentor and friend Kris Kristofferson said, “If God has a favorite songwriter, I think it’s John Prine.” Of his down-to-earth writing style, Prine has said “I never thought I could be a journalist or novelist or anything, I just had a wild imagination and songwriting gave me enough rope to run with it.”
Standard tickets go on sale to the public Friday, September 20, at 10 a.m., online, by phone (502.584.7777), and in-person at The Kentucky Center box office and drive-thru. Ticket prices start at $49.50, reserved seating, fees apply. Eight ticket limit per order.
