One of Italy’s most innovative theater companies, Compagnia TPO creates interactive performances for children using dance, music and cutting-edge digital technologies. In this piece, two dancers guide children from the audience on an adventure of discovery in the world’s oceans, with special emphasis on the Mediterranean Sea – a cradle of nature, culture and myths.
The performance on May 23 at 11:00 AM will be Sensory Friendly. Sensory Friendly performances are designed to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and nurturing environment for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other individuals with sensory sensitivities. Accommodations for this performance include keeping the theater lights dimmed, freedom to vocalize and move/switch seats, and allowing patrons to exit and enter during the performance. While this performance has a fluid atmosphere, it is open to the general public and can be a learning opportunity regarding the typical theater experience.
The Yum! Family Series is a season-long commitment by Yum! Brands, Inc. that supports Kentucky Center performances, as well as vital community outreach efforts.
