Abigail Washburn is a GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, and clawhammer banjo player based in Nashville, TN. In 2016, she won her most recent GRAMMY for “Best Folk Album” with her husband, Béla Fleck.
Abigail, a Mandarin Chinese speaker, has toured in China for 20+ years. In 2012, she gave a talk at the TED convention in Long Beach, CA, titled “Building US-China Relations…by Banjo”, sharing her true story of shifting from a career in law to pursue cultural connections through music. She was the first US-China Fellow at Vanderbilt University.
Wu Fei is a native of Beijing and a current Nashville resident. She is a master of the guzheng, the ancient 21-string Chinese zither. Trained as a Western classical composer and vocalist, she writes for choir, string quartets, chamber ensembles and orchestra.
