Considered one of the premier bluegrass fiddlers of his generation, Michael Cleveland picked up a fiddle at age four, and the rest is history. An eleven-time International Bluegrass Music Association “Fiddler of the Year” award-winner and a Grammy Award® nominee, Michael is a sought-after guest artist and has performed with Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, and Alison Krauss.
Flamekeeper: The Michael Cleveland Story is a feature-length music documentary about Michael’s determination as a musician and person with disabilities to rise above personal challenges and share his musical gifts with the world.
Stick around after the film! Following the film screening, Michael will perform and participate in a Q&A with the film producers.
This event is presented in partnership by Validate Films, The Kentucky Center the Performing Arts, and the Kentucky School for the Blind. Flamekeeper: The Michael Cleveland Story was produced by Validate Films and released to online audiences in 2019.
